John S. Kelley V is a district court judge for the 57th District Court, which presides over Nelson County in Kentucky.[1] He was elected to the court in November 2012 and was re-elected without opposition in 2014.[2][3] His four-year term expired on January 6, 2019.[4]

Kelley was elected to the 57th District Court. He defeated fellow candidates Thomas C. Dawson and Arch C. McKay III.[5] He won the election with 41.23% of the vote.[2]

Education

Kelley earned his law degree in 2009 from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama.[6]

Career

Prior to his judicial election in 2012, Kelley was an assistant attorney for Nelson County and a partner with the law firm of Kelley & Hite, PLLC.[7]
