John Schlesinger
John Charles Schlesinger is a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Family Division, in Florida. He served on the court from 2005 to 2020.[1][2][3] Schlesinger retired in April 2020.[4]
Biography
Schlesinger received a B.A. from Boston College in 1982 and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1987.[2] Judge Schlesinger is married to former circuit judge Marilyn Milian of the TV show "The People's Court."[5] Below is a summary of Schlesinger's professional experience:

Approach to the law
In an article by Mark Sylvester, formerly of Leesfield & Partners, P.A., Judge Schlesinger is quoted:
“ | As a trial attorney, you advocate orally for your client, as a judge you have to learn to talk less and listen more.[6][7] | ” |
He also stated,
“ | During my career at the United States Attorney’s Office, I was assigned to Judge Hoevler’s division, as well as Judge Atkins, and Judge Scott to name a few. These judges epitomized what it means to be a judge. I learned a great deal from these judges and they helped form my judicial philosophy.[6][7] | ” |
