John Schultheis
John A. Schultheis was a judge on the Washington Court of Appeals, Division III. He was elected to the court in November of 1993 and took office the next month.[1] He was re-elected in 1994, 2000 and 2006.[2][3] He was the Chief Judge of this Division in 1998 and 1999. Schultheis retired from the court in late 2009.[4]
Education
Schultheis grew up in Colton, Washington. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington State University in 1957 and his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1961.[1]
Career
Schultheis began his legal career in 1962 as a private practice lawyer in Spokane. In 1974, he became a district court judge for Spokane County. He was promoted to the Superior Court in 1983, where he served until his election to the Court of Appeals in 1993.[1]
