John Simonson
John Simonson was a Democratic candidate for District 51 of the Wisconsin State Assembly. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.[1]
Simonson earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in 1961. He earned graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1965 and 1973.
Simonson was an instructor at Platteville from 1966-2004. He established the Center for Applied Public Policy in 2002 and has been a policy analyst for the World Bank, Urban Institute and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the National Association of Realtors.[2]

Simonson ran in the 2010 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 51. Simonson was defeated by Republican Howard Marklein in the general election on November 2, 2010. Simonson was unopposed in the Democratic primary election on September 14, 2010.[3][4]
