John Sirica
John Joseph Sirica (1904-1992) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Sirica was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on February 25, 1957, to a seat vacated by Henry Schweinhaut; he was confirmed by the Senate on March 26, 1957, and received his commission on March 28th. He served as chief judge from 1971-1974. He assumed senior status on October 31, 1977, and served in that capacity until his death on August 14, 1992.[1]
