John Sloss Hobart

John Sloss Hobart was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New York. He joined the court in 1798 after an appointment from John Adams. At the time of appointment, he was a judge for the Supreme Court of the State of New York. He served until his death on February 4, 1805.[1]

He was nominated by President John Adams on April 11, 1798. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 12, 1798, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on February 4, 1805.[1]
