John Sudderth was a 2014 candidate for the 24th Judicial District Division O in Louisiana.[1] He previously ran unsuccessfully for a seat on this court (Division D) in 2013.[2]

Sudderth ran for election to the 24th Judicial District.
Primary: He was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 16.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Thomas P. Anzelmo, Jr., Frank Buck, and Danyelle Taylor. [1][3]

2013

Sudderth ran unsuccessfully for a seat on the 24th Judicial District, Division D. He faced Lorraine Perkins McInnis, Scott Schlegel, and Hilary Landry in the April 6 municipal primary election, losing to Scott Schlegel.[4][2]

Education

Sudderth earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Louisiana State University and his J.D. from the Louisiana State University Law School in 1993.[2]

Career

Sudderth began his legal career as an assistant district attorney for District Attorney Harry Connick. Following that position, Sudderth worked in private practice and served as in-house counsel for an HMO. In 1997, he served as a public defender for Jefferson Parish. Sudderth worked in private practice until 2005, when he became an assistant attorney general for Charles Foti.[2]
