John A. Vavra is a judge of the Belmont County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. He was elected on November 4, 2014, to a term that expired on December 31, 2020.[1][2]

Vavra was re-elected to the Belmont County Court, Eastern Division. He defeated Charles Bean and David Trouten in the general election, winning 39.1 percent of the vote.[3][4][5]
Education
Vavra received his undergraduate degree from West Liberty State College, his master's degree from West Virginia University, and his J.D. degree from the University of Akron.[4]
Career
From January 1, 2011, until 2015 when he was sworn into the Belmont County Court of Common Pleas, Vavra was a judge on the Belmont County Court, Eastern Division. For 12 years, Vavra served as a special acting judge for the Belmont County Courts.[4][6]
