John Velis (Democratic Party) is a member of the Massachusetts State Senate, representing Hampden and Hampshire District. He assumed office on January 4, 2023. His current term ends on January 6, 2027.

Velis (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the Massachusetts State Senate to represent Hampden and Hampshire District. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on September 1, 2026.^[source]

Biography

John Velis was born and lives in Westfield, Massachusetts. Velis served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, and Massachusetts Army National Guard. He earned an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of South Florida and a juris doctor from Suffolk University. His career experience includes working as a lawyer.^[1]
