John Vernon Meigs
John Vernon Meigs was a judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California.[1] Meigs retired from the court from March 7, 2014.[2]
Education
Meigs received a J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1978.[3]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, Meigs worked as a deputy public defender and in private practice. In 1989 he was elected as a court commissioner in Inglewood where he worked until 2000.[3]
Elections
2012
Meigs ran for re-election to the superior court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, Meigs was automatically re-elected.[4]
