John W. Herron
John W. Herron was a judge on the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania.[1] He was first elected to the court in 1987 and was retained in 1997 and 2007.
In addition to his duties as a trial court judge, Herron also served as Administrative Judge for the Trial Division of the First Judicial District. He was appointed to this position in 2011.[2]
Education
Herron earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.[3]
Career
Prior to joining the Court of Common Pleas, Herron served as a deputy district attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office. He also served as Chief Disciplinary Counsel for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.[2]
