Campaign website

Wasik's campaign website stated the following:

Goals

Food Insecurity. No one should go hungry in Lake County. I'm working with growers, food banks and non-profits to see that we are meeting the need.

Health Care. I believe that health care is a human right. I'm going to Washington and Springfield to fight for our county's health care funding.

Establish the Rt. 53 Greenway. I'm working with state legislators and environmental groups to make this 1,000-acre green space project a reality.

Complete the Cedar Lake Road Re-Alignment Project. I worked with a strong team to secure a $19 million federal grant, the largest in Lake County history. It will improve safety, traffic flow, lower pollution, create economic growth and extend the Forest Preserve's Millennium Trail through Round Lake.

Lower Housing Costs. I'm part of a coalition working to create attainable housing for everyone, reduce homelessness and expand green homebuilding.

Green Lake County. I'm working to do more lakes testing (for toxic algae blooms) and expand our countywide efforts to reduce carbon emissions. I'm also advocating for 1) a proposal to build a new net-zero (carbon emissions) headquarters for the Forest Preserve in Grayslake and 2) promote local agriculture to lower fresh food costs.
