John Wood (Texas)
John Howland Wood, Jr. (1916-1979) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
Wood was nominated to the Western District of Texas by President Richard Nixon on October 7, 1970, to a new seat created by 84 Stat. 294; he was confirmed by the Senate on November 25, 1970, and received commission on December 1, 1970. He served the Western District of Texas until his death on May 29, 1979.[1] Wood was succeeded in this position by Lucius Bunton.
