John Wood is a judge of the Rock County Circuit Court in Wisconsin. He was appointed by Gov. Scott Walker (R) on July 25, 2016, to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Richard Werner.[1]
Wood won re-election without opposition in the general election on April 4, 2017.
Biography
Wood earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He later earned his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law. He was an attorney with Nowlan & Mouat LLP from 2002 until his appointment to the court.[1]

Wisconsin held local judicial elections in 2017. Forty-eight circuit court seats were up for election on April 4, 2017. Three seats required primaries on February 21, 2017, with the top two vote recipients for each seat advancing to the April 4 general election. Thirty-seven seats up for election in 2017 were unopposed.[2] Incumbent John Wood ran unopposed in the general election for the Branch 6 seat on the Rock County Circuit Court.
