2014
Elections for the New Mexico House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 4, 2014. Incumbent Rodolpho Martinez was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while John L. Zimmerman was unopposed in the Republican primary. Zimmerman defeated Martinez in the general election.[6][7]

Zimmerman ran in the 2012 election for New Mexico House of Representatives District 39. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012. Incumbent Rodolpho Martinez (D) ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. He was defeated by Martinez in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8][9]
