The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 20, 2014. Ray Worthen was unopposed in the Democratic convention. Incumbent Melvin Brown defeated Blaine Hone and John B. Zimmerman in the Republican convention. Brown defeated Worthen in the general election.[1]
