John Zunic
John Zunic is a superior court judge of Vicinage 5 in New Jersey, serving Essex County. He was appointed by Republican Governor Chris Christie and was approved by the Senate on August 13, 2015.[1] He was reappointed in 2022, which he may serve until the age of 70.[2]
Zunic was previously a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 40 of the New Jersey State Senate. Zunic was also a candidate for the 40th State Senate District in 2007.
Career
Prior to his judicial appointment in2015, Zunic had worked since 1995 as a solo criminal defense attorney.[1]

Zunic was defeated in the 2011 election for New Jersey Senate District 40. He ran unopposed in the primary on June 7, 2011. Zunic was defeated by Republican incumbent Kevin O'Toole in the general election which took place on November 8, 2011.[3]
