Johnny Johnson (Texas)
Johnny Johnson was a 2014 Libertarian candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of Texas.[1] Johnny Johnson (Texas) lost the general election on November 4, 2014.
Biography
Johnson is a commercial pilot, flight instructor and businessman. He served in the U.S. Army's 14th Armored Cavalry. At the time of his candidacy, Johnson was an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s Air Station Houston and the US Air Force Auxiliary.[2]
Elections
2014
Johnson ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Texas' 9th District. Johnson won the Libertarian Party nomination at the state convention in April 2014.[3] He was defeated by incumbent Al Green (D) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[4]
