I am a Christian and have been a resident of this great town of Fayetteville, NC since 1995. I've seen how Fayetteville, Cumberland County, and our amazing state of NC have grown and excelled. I've also seen where it's been ignored, and if elected I'd work to sustain those things that have helped us, but I'd work to change the things that have been ignored.

I am a husband of 29 years to the same wife and the proud father of 5 amazing young people who have all been born and raised here in Fayetteville, NC. I am also a retired Special Forces Commander, a "Green Beret," having spent 24 of 27 years in the military with that exceptional unit. Since retiring in 2010, I have been a leader in the Defense Industry, building teams to address complex problems for various governmental organizations here in the U.S. and internationally. I'm also an Elder at Cross Creek Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville and have attended there since 2012.

Build up our teachers and their ability to train and educate our most precious resource - our children.

Ensure our first responders and police have the very best training, equipment, and education to ensure they can both serve our state effectively but also do it in a manner that is ethically accountable.

Create conditions to increase employment across the state.

Reduce governmental oversight and restrictions on individual freedoms
Upholding the rule of law wisely based on a standard higher than the individual

Humility - knowing that you serve the people and it is a privilege
Honesty
Integrity

Personal and moral courage
I'd like to leave a legacy of someone who valued others first, who values all life first.
I delivered newspapers when I was 12 years old for the Washington Star. I held the job for about 1 year.
Our Governor is our state leader and head, though his powers are rightfully limited and balanced by our legislative and judicial branches. Ideally, the checks and balances in our constitution would effect that ideal relationship.
Absolutely. We all have priorities that are important to us and the people whom we represent, and often, those priorities are in conflict with one another. The solution is open communication, giving others the opportunity to state what is important to them first, before ourselves, so that we have a good understanding of the other persons position and priorities. Then only can compromise can be found between the parties and peace can be maintained. That ability to create those solutions never happens unless people are willing to listen to each other. It is absolutely critical that we ask the pertinent, informed, and often difficult questions, in order to determine where compromise can be gained.
Districts should be aligned with geographical features and not created/changed based on demographics.
