Biography
Jon Brien was born in and lives in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1993, a J.D. from New York Law School in 1997, and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University in 2001. His professional experience includes working as an attorney.[1]

Brien won re-election to the 50the District seat in 2010. He defeated Roger Blais and Todd Brien in the September 14 Democratic primary election and defeated Republican Harvey Nabozny in the general election on November 2, 2010.[5][6]

In 2008, Brien was elected to the Rhode Island House of Representatives District 50. Brien (D) finished with 3,262 votes while his opponent Harvey Nabozney (R) finished with 882.[7] Brien raised $200 for his campaign fund.[8]
