Jon M. Memmott
Jon M. Memmott was a Utah Second Judicial District judge for Davis County for the Farmington District Court.[1] Memmott was appointed to this position in August 1992.[2] He retired from the court effective May 1, 2010.[3]
Education
Memmott received his J.D. from Arizona State University in 1974. After earning his degree, he served as assistant attorney general in Arizona.
Career
From 1976 to 1984, he worked as director of the Office of Legislative Research and general counsel. He then worked as Governor Bangerter's chief of staff/general counsel from 1984 to 1988. From 1988 to 1992, he worked in private practice. Memmott was appointed to the Second District Court by Governor Noman H. Bangerter in August of 1992. He served in that position until his retirement in 2010.[2]
2008 election
Memmott was retained in November 2008.[4]
