Jon M. Theisen is a circuit court judge for the Eau Claire County Circuit Court in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin.[1][2] Theisen was appointed to the position on October 7, 2011 by Gov. Scott Walker, and elected in 2012 for a term that will expire in 2018.[3]

Education

Theisen received his B.A. in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 1990.[4] After earning his B.A., Theisen volunteered in an inner-city Chicago school.[4] He later earned his Master of Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and in 1999 his J.D. from the University of Northern Illinois Law School.[2][5]

Career

Prior to attending law school, Theisen was a teacher and librarian.[7]

Awards and associations

  • 2007: Nominated "Prosecutor of the Year"[4]

2012 election

Theisen ran unopposed and was re-elected to the Eau Claire County Circuit Court.[8]
