On March 19, 2015, Jon Parker joined Santorum's PAC, Patriot Voices, as the South Carolina state director. Of Santorum and the PAC's values, Parker stated:[4]

Senator Santorum has been a consistent leader and true champion for hard-working families. His message is one that resonates not just in the Upstate or Lowcountry, but in town after town across our state. I am confident that his message, combined with hard work here on the ground, we will be able to ensure that Senator Santorum and Patriot Voices' message of hope, opportunity, and responsibility makes its mark in South Carolina.[6]

On May 27, 2015, Santorum announced his presidential run in Butler, Pennsylvania.[7] Parker then transitioned from the PAC to the same role on the campaign team.[2]
