I've been a certified police officer since 1993. I served as a Tarrant County Deputy Constable for 21 of those nearly 27 years and found the civil process side of law enforcement to be the most rewarding of all the police assignments. Constables are an integral part of public safety and community service. My experience as the incumbent during the last 8 years and my education make me the most qualified candidate for this position. I earned my Master Peace Officer certification while serving as a Tarrant County Sheriffs patrol deputy in 2002. I am also a certified Police Instructor. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Dallas Baptist University and a Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA). I have been married for 40 years with 3 grown daughters. I was born and raised in Fort Worth.
  • A constable should be an experienced law enforcement officer.
  • A good constable should be willing to listen and learn regardless of their time in service or education.
  • If a constable, or any other law enforcement officer interacts with their community as they would want to be interacted themselves then respect and open lines of communication would go both ways.
I have always been interested in making sure everyone is treated fairly and with respect even when serving civil process.
Constables are written in to the Texas Constitution. Their duties vary from county to county but they are all Law Enforcement Officers.
I believe I have been successful by working hard and being willing to always listen and learn. I treat people as I would want them to treat me. Courtesy and kindness are contagious.
The first historical event I can recall was a man walking on the moon. I would have been about 12 years old.
I was a woodworker in a cabinet factory. I worked there nearly 18 years. I started off working on an assembly line and worked my way up in to a management position.
An American Soldier by Coffey Anderson
Constables are Law Enforcement Officers and therefore have powers of arrest. Experience and patience mean everything.
A Peace Officer License with experience to back it up makes for a better candidate.
