My Name is Jonathan Brown, I practically grew up in Anderson Indiana though I was born in Grove Oklahoma. Im the Grandson of a Navy Veteran who also retired from the former Delco. My brother served in the middle east and retired with an honorable discharge from the United States Army. I grew up where poverty is rich because of whats in our heart, putting each other and our Country first. I understand what it's like to struggle every day and the American people are my first Priority. Improving our education and creating local jobs are a grand start. I also plan to work on local infrastructure and building a better and more unified district.
My public interests include The United States Economy, our crisis at our southern border to strengthen our global interests, the illegal drug epidemic and the American Education system.
I look up to my Mother, she is a strong, caring, loving, and independent Woman who has never doubted me and has always lifted me up out of my ashes, a survivor of lung Cancer, a wild child she was who grew up a hippie and has traveled at least 49 of these great US States. Born in 1963 she lived during some wild and invigorating times, after losing her mother at 15 to lung cancer she followed a different path in life but never strayed from who she is.
I wouldn't necessarily say that I have a specific book essay or film that would help people understand my political philosophy it's quite old school and major traditional with the use of modern times something that helps me think legally and justifiably would be to read John grisham.
An elected official must know how to remain persistent have agitation but at the same time maintain a level head. I believe an elected official must also contain a certain level of dominance with a voice filled with power and a demand of respect from foreign leadership. If you're going to be a us selected official you also need the mindset and level-headedness to hold the reins of your position at times all by yourself like a grown up.
The first historical event i can remember is the tropical storm and Hurricane that hit the Gulf specifically Corpus Christi Texas and near areas in i believe 1999. The flood waters ran down our streets the wind damage upended tons of people's property. My Aunts car was picked up from one end of the parking lot where she worked and carried by flood waters, i must have been I dont know maybe 4 years of age. A 2nd would be 911, I was watching dora on our television and eating frootloops cereal when the news flashed over I sat there with family and watched as the 2nd plane hit and as both towers took their last rein in New York.
My very first job was a welder position at Steel Mart located in elwood Indiana, i held that job until i stepped away due to contracting Covid-19.
The US House of Representatives allows representatives from each and every district and state to come together as one nation and speak amongst each other to determine how we are to handle conflict law legislation and other important leading tasks such as economic infrastructure and deterioration of global economics and how we can work together amongst each and every individual office to combat all of these negative things.
I don't believe that it is beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics I do believe it is very imperative and important that they have some type of understanding that they understand how policy works what can and cannot be done what should and should not be done and that are the forefront of our nation's capital is the people.
I believe the United States greatest challenges over the next decade are our falling and failing economy, our border crisis that is running illegal immigrants and paraphernalia directly into our backyards, and possibly creating too many bills that over restrict born right US citizens. Were too focused on what the LGBTQ+ community does amongst one another and not worried enough about struggling American Families, that are starving and homeless, not to forget our Veterans that are living in tents and homeless that deserve high honor for what they sacrificed for those who wouldn't do the same.
I do believe that two years is the right term length for Representatives.
I believe 2 years per term in office are adequate for a US Congressperson, I do also believe that the current term limits are appropriate for the seat position as well.
Well there are several representatives from the past that I would like to represent myself or model myself off of the problem is finding a good mixture between each and every one of them as an example finding mixtures for previous presidents such as Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy. I'd like to focus on my career being less like Joe Biden and Richard Nixon more detrimental to the American people more in depth with our way of life more in depth with freedom and equality.
I believe that compromise would only be acceptable in the case that it's in the best interest of the people after all we are a government of the people by the people and for the people we shouldn't be sitting behind our desks and our Chambers making our decisions we should be focusing on what is in the best possible positions for the American people.
