I’ve lived in Pflugerville for 12+ years and currently serve as Chair of the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Capital Improvement Advisory Committee. I’m running for City Council to bring collaborative, pragmatic leadership that prioritizes residents above all else. Ptrofessionally, I’m a technology executive who has led multimillion-dollar projects and large teams, giving me the experience to tackle complex challenges in a data-driven way.

In our community, I’ve worked on trails, parks, and the city’s long-term strategic plan, and I’ve volunteered with local nonprofits addressing food insecurity and civic engagement. I care deeply about affordability, smart growth, and keeping Pflugerville livable for families at every stage of life. My leadership style is data-driven, empathetic, and focused on listening first.

Pflugerville is growing quickly, and we need leaders who can balance growth with preserving community character, lower utility bills, and create opportunities for families and small businesses to thrive.
  • Pflugerville families deserve affordable living, including lower utility bills, more diverse housing options, and a fairer tax and fee structure.
  • Growth must be smart and on our terms; new development should pay for itself and preserve community character.
  • Leadership should be transparent, collaborative, and accountable, always prioritizing residents’ voices.
I’m most passionate about affordability, utility rate reform, and public safety. This includes building a healthy, collaborative relationship with the Pflugerville Fire Department and ensuring safer mobility through improved sidewalks, crossings, and bike/trail connections.
City Council is directly responsible for shaping growth, utility policy, and zoning, while also creating an environment that fosters quality of life and economic development. It is one of the most immediate and impactful levels of government.
My late grandfather. He was wise, stoic, and service-oriented, always prioritizing family and community. His steady leadership and deep care for others are examples I strive to follow.
Listening first, empathy, and transparency are vital. Leaders should be pragmatic and willing to use data to inform decisions, while balancing immediate needs with long-term planning and equity.
Representing residents, managing growth responsibly, ensuring infrastructure keeps pace, protecting affordability, and maintaining public trust through transparent, fair decision-making.
I aim to make Pflugerville more affordable and resilient now, while preparing it for the next 30+ years. Councilmembers should not only plan for next year’s budget, but also steward the city for future generations by building infrastructure, housing, and policies that last, ensuring a high quality of life.
The Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. I was nine, and it left a lasting impression on me about how fragile life is and how communities come together in times of tragedy.
My very first job was cleaning tables and dishes at a local restaurant. My first job after college was in local public media, where I covered community events. It taught me to listen, tell stories, and understand different perspectives, a foundation I’ve carried into civic leadership.
Outlive by Peter Attia. It connects medicine, longevity, and planning for the future, ideas that also apply to good governance. Cities must make wise choices today to ensure a healthier, stronger tomorrow.
Ted Lasso. I admire his empathy, passion, and creative problem-solving in unexpected situations. He’s not perfect, sometimes too optimistic, but his heart, teamwork, and ability to lift others up are qualities I strive for.
Growing up in a working-class family in Missouri, money was often tight, and opportunities didn’t always come easily. My parents worked hard to build stability and open doors for me that weren’t possible for them early on. Watching and living that struggle firsthand gave me empathy for families just trying to make ends meet, and it shaped my belief that government should focus on keeping communities affordable and creating real opportunity for everyone.
Council has influence beyond the city limits, including advocating at the state legislature and working with regional partners, both commercial and governmental, to ensure Pflugerville remains a cohesive and competitive part of the broader economy.
You don’t need to be a politician. I’m not. However, you do need passion, a knowledge of how government works, and the humility to recognize your limitations. Effectiveness comes from listening, engaging across differences, and remembering you represent everyone, not just those who agree with you.
Strong listening skills, empathy, and pragmatic judgment are essential. A good councilmember must also be able to analyze complex issues, plan for the future, and use both vision and data to shape the best possible community now and for decades ahead.
