Medema earned his undergraduate degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana. He received his J.D. from Seattle University.[1]

Career

Medema relocated to Idaho in 1992 to work as an engineer for the Idaho National Laboratory. Medema was serving as a deputy Ada County prosecutor at the time of his 2015 appointment to the Fourth Judicial District.[1]
