Jonathan Moore (Nevada)
Jonathan Moore was the acting Nevada superintendent of public instruction from February to April 2019. Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) appointed Moore, effective February 7, 2019.[1] He served until April 2019, when Jhone Ebert became the permanent superintendent.
Biography
Moore was the deputy superintendent of student achievement at the Department of Education from November 2018 to February 2019. Moore previously served as the deputy associate superintendent of K-12 academic standards at the Arizona Department of Education.[1]
Political career
Nevada Superintendent of Public Instruction (February-April 2019)
Moore assumed the duties of superintendent on an interim basis after former superintendent Steve Canavero resigned on February 6, 2019.[1] He served until Jhone Ebert became the superintendent, effective April 2, 2019.

The Nevada Superintendent of Public Instruction is a state executive position in the Nevada state government.
The superintendent, appointed by the State Board of Education, oversees the Department of Education and implements policy agreed upon by the board.[2]
