Jonathan Steinberg (Democratic Party) is a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 136. He assumed office in 2011. His current term ends on January 6, 2027.

Steinberg (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 136. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Steinberg formerly served as a representative for Westports Representative Town Meeting from 2003 to 2010.

Biography

Steinberg earned his B.A. in psychology from Yale University. He went on to receive his MBA in Marketing from Stern School of Business. He then earned a teaching certificate in history/social studies from the Department of Higher Educations Alternate Route to Certification (ARC) Program.

Steinberg's professional experience includes working as a senior vice president of marketing and communications for The Jewish Home Lifecare System, marketing executive for Revlon, employee for Mount Sinai Medical Center, marketing executive for Bristol-Myers Squibb, and marketing executive for American Home Products/Wyeth.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Jonathan P. Steinberg was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Brandi Briggs was unopposed in the Republican primary. Steinberg defeated Briggs in the general election.[2][3]
