I am a veteran of the United States Navy, born of Montana and its city Havre. I seek to protect and defend those of my state and community from exploitation and harm by entities of unimaginable scales and power. It is my nature to fight fate, to uplift the companionate and to cast down the wrathful. In all my works I seek not to be great but to be better. I listen to the cries of those in need and speak the words of the voiceless with my words. I forgive the debts of those who can not pay me what they owe and freely give my time and labors which are my wealth. I seek to know injustice and hold the issues of others greater than my own. To be a man driven by hope and not fear, a bulwark against the storm that shelters from the angry heavens of those above. Among my fellows I am not the strongest, wisest or most well versed but I persevere and in a body of those who fight at my side I abide. This is who I am. I make no promises of the future, but whatever we face we will face it together.
  • I have no corporate donors, nor am I bribed legally or otherwise to vote against your best interest. If elected into office my goal would be to act as public servant for the betterment of all people and not as a politician who pursues selfish ambition for the sake of power.
  • I have no intent to pursue higher office outside the legislature. If elected it is my hope to strengthen the foundation of our democracy so that those in congress are held to account. To pursue a position of greater power would erode my values and sense of self as well as remove me from a position where I could combat the corrupting influences of wealth and special interests.
  • During my active duty service I was taught leadership and dedication to my tasks. My training and qualifications afford me a foundation for performing in such an office well and the many years I have served are comparable to entire terms of already elected officials. I will be willing to offer that same dedication to service and to uphold my oath of office as I did my oath of service to this nation.
Campaign finance reform, term limits for members of congress, judicial reform, criminal justice reform, workers rights, direct democracy, housing, renewable and alternative energy, cost of living, conservation, hunting and recreation, agriculture, education, reducing the costs of burial and funeral expenses, retirement and social security, debt reduction, veterans benefits, ranked choice voting, abolishing the death penalty and many others
Dark Money (2015) is a documentary of the effects of the Citizens United ruling and the devastating effects of money in politics of which I hope to fight if I am elected to office.
The willingness to remove themselves from the corrupting influences of Lobbyists, corporate PAC's, special interests or other donors whose aims go against the needs or wants of the people the official represents.
To be the avatar of the communities whom they represent, to fight for their constituents needs amongst a sea of demands for limited resources, to provide for the common good, to seek justice and the equal application of the law, prevent the degradation of democracy and to enhance the rights and protections of all.
Legacies are the thoughts of men on their death beds. I seek to do good, be just and to advance my policies for the sake of my constituents.
A non-partisan redistricting committee as set by the Montana constitution.
Having served in the navy I would request the veterans affairs committee among others.
I have, at this time, no intention of running for any office other than the legislature.
