Giving back to my community has always been an important part of my life. I currently serve as the Chair of the UC Davis Health Community Advisory Board, Secretary for Cottage Housing, Mentor (Apoyado) for Nueva Epoca (a Latinx Leadership Program), and was a Commissioner in various capacities for the City of West Sacramento from 2015 to 2019.
My education has been an amazing journey. I am the proud product of California public schools and in 1994, I relocated to Northern California where I have earned 3 degrees including a Bachelors of Science in Applied Economics and a Masters of Business Administration.
I am truly an example of the American Dream. Unfortunately, the American Dream is becoming harder and harder to reach for those in our community. For too long now career politicians and the political class in Sacramento have operated with only their own interests in mind. Everyday hardworking taxpayers are mostly forgotten. That is why I am running for this office. To represent your interests and not the special interests.
- Representation matters. When elected, I will be the first Latino to ever serve in the 1st District of the Board of Equalization.
- I want to ensure that all taxpayers know their rights as tax payers in California.
- I want to ensure that the Board of Equalization continues to promote uniformity and consistency in property tax assessments within our district and throughout our state.
