Jose F. Caragol
José Caragol is a member of the Hialeah City Council in Florida. He was elected to the council in 2005.[1][2]
Biography
Caragol is from Havana, Cuba. He attended Belen Jesuit School and received a J.D. from the University of Havana. He moved to the United States in 1960. He has worked as an interpreter in the Security Office of United States Department of State in Miami, in courts, at international seminars and programs and at Hialeah City Council meetings. Caragol taught law classes at Biscayne College, St. Thomas University and Florida Memorial College. He completed the Cuban Lawyer Program at the University of Florida in 1975. He also worked on protocol and public relations affairs in the Hialeah Mayor's Office for over 20 years.[1]

The city of Hialeah, Florida, held elections for city council on November 17, 2015. A primary took place on November 3, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 27, 2015.[3] In the Group 2 race, incumbent Jose F. Caragol defeated John Salvador Molloy and Juan Carlos Souza in the primary election on November 3, 2015.[4]
