Jose Padilla (Arizona)

Jose Padilla is a former judge on the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He was initially appointed in September 2005 and won election to a full four-year term in 2008. Padilla was retained in 2012 and 2016. He left office in 2020.[1]
Biography
Padilla received his undergraduate and his J.D. degree from Arizona State University. He founded the Law Firm of Jose S. Padilla in 1987. He had previously worked as an associate at Gutierrez, Contreras, Padilla and Salaiz. Padilla is also a registered nurse.[2]

Elections
2016
Arizona held elections for 80 superior court judgeships on November 8, 2016. Sixty-three of those seats were up for retention election. Three counties—Maricopa, Pima, and Pinal—use retention elections for their superior courts.[3]

Padilla was retained with 55.07 percent of the vote in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
