I come for a very loving and supportive family. My family is everything to me, and I would not be anything without them. I like to think that I decided to run for Congress to fight for my "big" family, that is, the people of Texas-28. Texas is my home, I love Texas, and I love my neighbors. I can not stand the feeling that comes with knowing that the families in my district deserve better. They deserve someone who has a real commitment to them, someone willing to put their reputation on the line to fight for their interests. With my experience and background, together with the constituents of Texas-28, we can deliver real change for our communities. During my time working in the district at the federal level, I gained valuable insights that will allow me to be effective in Congress from day one. I know what the needs and opportunities are across my district and I know what needs to be done to ensure that our families can prosper. Above all, is my character. I pride myself in saying what I mean, and meaning what I say. That is why I will be a strong, reliable voice for all of South Texas. I will also be someone who can be held accountable. Many run for Congress as a ticket into politics, a ticket into power. I am doing this because I care about my community, and after my time in government, I feel a strong sense of duty and responsibility to the families of Texas-28 and to our future generations. I want to fight for our country. I want to fight for you.
  • We need to stop illegal immigration. Yes, our country was built on immigration. I am an immigrant myself, and proud of it. However, illegal immigration will destroy our county if we do not stop it. Our local infrastructure can not handle the mass waves of illegals that continuously pour into our cities. We do not have the services or shelters to be able to accommodate these folks. This stress on infrastructure is draining taxpayer funds that are more important elsewhere. The American people should not have to pay for our government's failed policies. Lastly, it used to be hard-working families that would cross illegally in hopes of finding a better life. Now, radicals are coming in at a record pace and we do not know their intentions.
  • Fix our economy. While some claim that our economy is doing great, the truth is, families are struggling to pay their bills, to by groceries, or even send their little ones to daycare. Younger people continue to get laid off and are struggling to find jobs. Bad economic policies have fueled inflation, putting a heavy economic burden on middle class families. We need to stop spending money we do not have. We need to bring more jobs back to America, increase domestic energy production, and eliminate regulations hindering our producers and farmers. If we do not balance our budget now, our future generations will pay the price for it. We must ignite the most powerful economy in the world and ensure the future and independence of our nation.
  • Protect our values, freedoms, and our Constitution. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I want to protect the family values that South Texas was built on, and I truly believe we must take a strong stand against anyone or anything that tries to undermine them. We need to keep males out of women's sports. We need to keep radical, extreme ideologies away from our schools. And we need to protect the nucleus of the family. Only by protecting our values and constitution, will America remain a free nation for all.
Growing up in Mexico, I saw a lot of violence, a lot of poverty, and a lot of corruption. I believe that is why I am passionate about law and order, both domestically and foreign. I want to ensure that we keep our communities safe and eliminate any foreign threats to our freedom. Having seen extreme poverty up close, I am passionate about economic policies that will strengthen capitalism and allow families to prosper. Our economy starts at the kitchen table with our families. I am also passionate about life and liberty. I truly believe our Constitution is what makes us a beacon of light for the rest of the world. As Americans, we can not let anyone or anything undermine our Constitutional freedoms.
My parents. They did everything in their power to bring my sisters and me to the United States so that we could have more and better opportunities and, above all, so that we would be safe and free. They taught me right from wrong, and instilled in me the will to be the best person I can be in every aspect. They taught me to follow my heart, to be kind, to trust God, and not to give up on my dreams. I hope one day I can be half the parent my parents were to me.
An elected official must have empathy to be able to relate to his or her constituency. Without empathy, people will be ruled and not represented. This empathy has to be accompanied by a sense of duty to do what is right for our people, to do what is right for our country. That way a public servant is able to put all others and country above him or herself. Strong leadership, foresight, and tenacity allow an elected official to be effective in government. A good elected official must also be able to listen, both, to his constituents and his peers.
I want to be remembered as someone who stood for what was right, someone that put others above himself. A kind, good-hearted individual that inspired and helped others.

Campaign website

Sanz’s campaign website stated the following:

STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
Democrats’ policies have failed all Americans by creating the largest immigration crisis in our nation’s history. In Fiscal Year 23 alone, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recorded more than 2.4 million encounters with illegal immigrants at the Southwest border and more than 3.2 million encounters nationwide. That number does not include the over 600,000 illegal ‘gotaways’ and 900,000 migrants who were allowed to pursue asylum applications. That is 1.5 million undocumented immigrants who are now straining services in major metropolitan cities. Biden’s open borders are an invitation for cartels to brutalize children, assault women, overrun our communities with illegal aliens, and flood this country with narcotics. As your voice in Washington, I will support legislation encompassing a multifaceted approach to end illegal immigration and secure our border once and for all.

UNLEASH THE AMERICAN ECONOMY
Red tape and useless regulations hurt economic growth by making it harder and most costly to run a business. We need to promote economic growth by allowing businesses to thrive by lower taxes, eliminating harmful regulations, and allowing hard working Americans to continue to thrive in the greatest economy in the world. The free market system is the only economic system that lifts people out of poverty and allows them to thrive by simply becoming hard working Americans. It is time to unleash the American economy.

PROTECT OUR COUNTRY
The Biden administration, with the help of Henry Cuellar, has failed to protect America. Our southern border is under attack from the drug cartels and dangerous gangs. A sovereign nation has the right and the responsibility to protect its citizens from enemies both domestic and abroad, but the Democrats in Washington D.C. have done nothing to protect you or your family from this threat.

Every year, Fentynal manufactured in Mexico with ingredients sourced from China, pour across our border and kill an estimated 105,000 Americans. This is a direct threat to our national security and is a direct threat to our communities. As your next representative in Congress, I will immediately and fully support legislation that reinforces our border and allows the U.S. to fight back against the drug cartels. We can no longer allow Democrats to gamble with our future, we must put America first.

PUT CRIMINALS BEHIND BARS
Our cities and communities are being destroyed as Democrats placate extremist groups over protecting our families. We cannot allow dangerous criminals and drug dealers to run our streets and threaten our communities. We must immediately fund our local police, punish criminals, and hold soft-on-crime judges and District Attorneys accountable. I stand firmly behind our brave men and women in law enforcement and will fight to restore law and order throughout Texas and in every city across America. For too long we have allowed liberal Democrats to tear down our justice system without accountability. As your next Congressman, I will pass legislation that protects our families and our communities. It’s time we put dangerous criminals and drug dealers back behind bars where they belong.

NO NEW TAXES
Your money belongs in your wallet, not in the hands of government bureaucrats who continue to push our country to the brink of bankruptcy. Our taxes are already too high and liberal Democrats want to take more of your hard earned money. As your next congressman, I pledge to not raise your taxes because you already pay too much. We need to balance our budget and stop the socialist spending spree that has overtaken Washington D.C.

TERM LIMITS
Texans and Americans are growing tired of career politicians sitting in office for decades, lining their own pockets and those of special interest groups. That is why I fully support TERM LIMITS and have signed the TERM LIMIT pledge. We need serious representatives who will listen to the American people and actually solve problems. It’s time for TERM LIMITS and it’s time to kick career politicians out of office!

SMALL BUSINESSES
Small businesses are the lifeblood of our communities, they create jobs and opportunities for our community that produce lasting economic growth for Texans.

We need politicians who understand the struggles that small business owners face on a daily basis. We are tired of special interest groups and career politicians that dictate economic policy to the rest of us. We need an economic environment that will benefit everyone in South Texas.

Energy Independence
It’s time we invest in American energy production, which will lower the cost at the pump for consumers and drastically reduce our reliance on foreign oil. For too long, we have allowed our adversaries to profit from our reliance on foreign oil. Rather than stop the flow of cash overseas, Democrats have canceled or outright banned domestic oil production. Democrats are weakening our country and putting billions of dollars in the hands of hostile governments around the world. The American people are tired of the inaction and want real energy independence that reinvigorates our economy and protects our country. Make gas cheap again, it’s time to put America back on track!

School Choice
Currently, our education system is failing the next generation of Texans. Our schools are underfunded, our teachers are overworked and underpaid, and our students are falling behind the rest of the world.

We must revitalize our education system by investing in programs that work. I will fight for policies that empower parents, support teachers, and promote school choice.

By investing in education, school choice, and vocational training, we can equip our students with the skills they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

I support school choice because it gives parents and students the power to choose the best education possible. School choice allows families to escape underperforming schools and secure their academic future by enrolling in schools that are helping students excel.[3]
