Jose Suarez was a candidate for District 3 representative on the Miami Board of Commissioners in Florida. He was defeated in the general election on November 7, 2017.
Biography
Suarez earned a bachelor's degree from Saint Thomas University.[1]
At the time of his 2017 run for the board of commissioners, Suarez was the chief communicator for People Speak Strategic Communications and the director of communications for 1199SEIU. His experience also includes work as a senior communications strategist for the Florida Power and Light Company and a program manager for Weber Shandwick and service as a member of the Saint Thomas University Alumni Advisory Board.[1][2]
