Four of the seven seats on the Laredo Independent School District school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. In Districts 1 and 4, incumbents Jose Valdez and Ricardo Garza won re-election without opposition. District 2 incumbent Jesus Martinez lost to challenger Cindy Liendo. District 7 incumbent Jose Perez defeated challengers Gilbert Hernandez and Isela Martinez.[1]
