General: He was defeated by incumbent Judge John C. Gannon in the general election on November 5, 2013, after receiving 41.4 percent of the vote.

Mellace received his undergraduate degree from Utica College in 1993 and his J.D. from the University of Buffalo in 1998.[3]

Career
