Joseph A. Simpson
Joseph A. Simpson was a Lee County judge of the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was elected on September 5, 2006 and took office the following January. His term expired on January 7, 2013.[1][2][3]
Education
Simpson received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his J.D. degree from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. [4]
Career
Simpson worked as a Chief Assistant Public Defender from 1973 to 1977. He then worked as a private practice lawyer from 1978 until he was elected to the circuit court in 2006.[4]
2012 election
Simpson ran for re-election on Aug. 14, 2012, but was defeated by Lisa Spader Porter after receiving 28.9% of the vote.[5][6]
