Joseph A. Smyth, Jr. was a judge on the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania.[1] Smyth was appointed to the court in May 1984 by Governor Dick Thornburgh.[2] Smyth was elected to the court for a 10 year term in 1985. He was retained in 1995 and 2005 and retired in 2015.[3]

Education

Smyth earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1967, J.D. from Villanova University in 1971, and master's degree from Temple University in 1979.[4]
