Joseph C. Fratto, Jr.
Joseph C. Fratto, Jr. was a Utah Third Judicial District judge for Salt Lake County, Utah for the Salt Lake City Justice Court.[1] Judge Fratto was first appointed to the position in January 1997.[2] Judge Fratto retired on December 16th, 2011.[3]
Education
Fratto received his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 1975. He worked as a Research Assistant Analyst and Consultant for the Division of Courts Administration in the Law Enforcement Planning Agency of the Department of Public Safety. From 1975 to 1979, he served with the Salt Lake Legal Defenders Association. He then worked as an attorney for the firm of Fratto & Fratto. Frato was appointed to the Third District Court by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in January of 1997, where he served until retirement.[2]
