My name is Joe Capriotti. I am married with 2 school age children. I have an accounting degree from Bentley University and have been working in real estate management for 22 years. I love to workout, spend time with family and friends as well as collect sports memorabilia. My key skills I will bring to the NH State House include my common sense, fiscal responsibility and strict adherence to my NH freedom values of Live Free or Die.

Having grown up in Massachusetts, I made the decision in 2013 to move from Massachusetts to escape government overreach, the erosion of parental rights, bad roads and rampant illegal immigration and out of control spending. Thus I know what it is like to live in a state like Massachusetts. I vow to do everything in my power to never let that happen in NH and fight against radicalism of all types.

NH is great because we live by the values of low taxation, personal freedom and common sense legislation. I will fight to keep it free.
  • Personal freedom. After going through covid 19 and seeing the tyranny it brought out in governments across the world, it strengthened my resolve to fight for personal freedom. No one should ever be forced to take anything into their bodies that they do not feel comfortable taking. The discrimination that followed in regard to mandates, passports, being fired from jobs, etc was extremely alarming. I will always fight for personal freedom and the NH way.
  • Fiscal responsibility. Without fiscal responsibility we are doomed as a society. As we can see nationally, our growing debt is out of control. $500 billion a year in interest on the debt could be spent in so many other places that would help Americans. In NH, I vow to always work towards responsible spending, eliminating waste and I will never vote for an income or sales tax. I will also work to bring businesses to NH. Providing an attractive business climate is necessary to do this and I will work each day to get this done.
  • Fighting drugs. I believe in strong penalties for drug dealers and traffickers. The drug epidemic kills 100,000 Americans a year and many of those are your NH neighbors, family and friends. We all know someone who has been struck by this epidemic. Drug user arrests should be met with mandatory drug rehab in most, if not all, cases. We need to put funds into treatment rather than punish drug addicts by putting them in jail. Many ex-drug addicts end up being an asset in our fight to end this epidemic. We should be placing an emphasis on providing jobs for them to assist us in this fight whether that is through outreach, work at rehab or other methods.
I am passionate about our border security, fiscal responsibility and personal freedom. In the past 5 years, parental rights have also been highlighted across our state and are very important to me as well as protecting the innocence of children.
I look up to Ron Paul. Common sense, unwavering values and pro freedom.
1984. Watch this movie or read the book. I will fight each day so that this NEVER happens in NH or America. My philosophy is very anti tyranny.
The most important characteristics for an elected official are loyalty and common sense. If you are loyal to your voters this will take you a long way. If you use common sense to govern the way you make decisions, you will be very successful. Unfortunately these days, many elected officials lack these two things.
Common sense, loyalty and the fact that I would die for my country.
To look out for your voters and their interests. They may not always line up with my core values, but they put you in office to represent them. You should listen to all voters whether they are from your party or not. Maybe you could get them to vote for you next time. That would be the biggest success for any politician.
To be remembered as fair, faithful and fierce.
Bagger at Star Market for a year at age 14.
Drive-by Larry Bird. It shows what determination and love can do for you even if you are born poor and have nothing.
Family Finances. This is why I can relate to NH families. I have lived their struggle. Affordable housing, gas and food is a top priority for me.
The ideal relationship should be respectful, communicative and with much vigorous civil debate.
Drug epidemic, illegal immigration, parental rights, and maintaining strong state's rights which means not relying on the federal government.
No. I believe each person brings their own distinct experience to government no matter where they come from.
Typically, the longer someone is in government, the more deceitful they become and less connected to their voters and the experiences that governed their values when they first decided to run for office.
Yes of course. Vigorous debate is necessary and I love it. I look forward to it when I am in office. Many times you have more in common with someone that you don't even realize unless you cross the aisle.
Ex NH House member-Carl Seidel. Carl was always very respected and kind to everyone. Every time I spoke to him he presented himself with class and dignity.
Yes, I could see myself running for US Congress and would be honored to represent New Hampshire and work to fix this country.
Yes. Separation of powers is important in government. Checks and balances are necessary for emergency powers that may restrict citizen rights in time of crisis.
A bill related to drug rehabilitation and granting jobs to those who graduate who can then go on to help others rehab.
Fiscal and Health related committees.
It is necessary. Taxpayers should, at any time, be able to see where their tax dollars are being spent. Without it, corruption occurs.
Good. Citizen voices being heard is always a good thing. Keep politicians in check.
