Joseph E. Beshouri is a magistrate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to the court on March 16, 2009.[1][2]

Education

Beshouri received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in 1982 and his J.D. from the Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law in 1986.[2]

Career

Beshouir spent his legal career in his own practice, concentrating on criminal law.[2]

Federal judgeship recommendation

In June of 2010, Beshouri was recommended to President Obama by the Judicial Nomination Commission for nomination to a federal seat on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.[3]
