Joseph Egan, Jr. is a former probate judge for the Northern Fairfield Probate District in Connecticut.[1] He was first elected in a special election in 1990 and last won re-election in 2014. Egan retired from the bench in 2016, when he reached the mandatory retirement age of 70.[2]

Egan served as the president of the National College of Probate Judges from 2007 to 2008.[3]

Egan ran for re-election to the Northern Fairfield Probate District.
General: He defeated Steven Boa DeMoura in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 63.8 percent of the vote. [4] 

2010

Egan ran for election to the new Northern Fairfield Probate District, which replaced the Ridgefield district in 2011. He won the Republican primary defeating two other candidates with 46% of the vote. Egan next defeated Timothy J. Holian in the general election.[5][6][7]
