Joseph Farmer
Joseph Farmer is a former nonpartisan member of the Ohio State Board of Education, representing the state at large. Farmer was first appointed to the board in 2011.
Biography
After serving in Vietnam, Farmer joined Delta Air Lines. In his time at there, Farmer worked in ground operations, ticketing, and air cargo.
Between 1992 and 2011, Farmer was a member of the Liberty Union-Thurston school board, where he spent time as the board's president. Farmer has served on the Ohio School Boards Association, the All-Region School Board, and the All-Ohio School Board.[1]

Farmer was first appointed to the board by Gov. John Kasich (R) in 2011 and was re-appointed in 2015.
