Joseph Golombek, Jr.
Joseph Golombek (Democratic Party) is a member of the Buffalo Common Council in New York, representing North District. He assumed office in 1999. His current term ends on December 31, 2027.
Golombek (Democratic Party, Conservative Party) ran for re-election to the Buffalo Common Council to represent North District in New York. He won in the general election on November 7, 2023. He advanced from the Democratic primary on June 27, 2023.
Biography
Born in Riverside, N.Y., Golombek graduated from Riverside High School. He received a bachelor's degree in history from Buffalo State College, going on to earn a master's degree in European history from Marquette University.[1] He has experience as a history professor at Buffalo State College.[2]

The city of Buffalo, New York, held elections for city council on November 3, 2015. A primary election took place on September 10, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 23, 2015.[3] In the North District race, incumbent Joseph Golombek, Jr. was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[4]

Golombek lost the Democratic Primary but he was uncontested in the September 14 Conservative Party primary. Golombek was defeated by incumbent Sam Hoyt (D) in the general election on November 2.[5]
