|For five years, Joseph has been one of the Leadership Heads as Elder/Pastor and Board Member of The Gate Church in the city of Lexington. He’s a husband, a father, and community leader.
One of Joseph’s honored accomplishments is being the Founder of the “Boys to Men Mentoring Group.” The group meets every 1st Thursday of the month. Boys to Men teaches, and counsels boys from the ages of 12 and up on how to become respectable men in today’s society through sponsorship, practical advice, workshops, and educational trips.- I feel that affordable housing is key issue we need to address in our city. Housing prices has skyrocketed in the past few years and residence/ tax payers of our city are having issues finding affordable housing and living above the poverty rate.
- If we plan to have a bright future, we must sow into the next generation. After school and summer programs for the youth (sponsored by our city) will be something I advocate for as a councilman. As the founder of Boys2Men Mentoring group, I am passionate about teaching and training our next generation how to be stand-up citizens of this great city.
- Opportunities for small business owners and minority business owners establishing properties in the community will be another issue I address as councilman. I will advocate for residents of district 7 to establish small businesses in the their district.

After School and Summer Programs for Youth
