Joe Hoeffel (Democratic Party) was a member of the U.S. House, representing Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional District. He assumed office on January 3, 1999. He left office on January 3, 2005.

Hoeffel (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Pennsylvania's 4th Congressional District. He lost in the Democratic primary on May 15, 2018.

Hoeffel is a former member of Congress and former vice-chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners.
