Dr. Joseph Quinn Jarvis is descended from Utah pioneers. He's experienced a varied career as a physician, a public health officer, an academic, an author, and a small business owner. Though he'd been active in Republican politics for years, he left the GOP in 2016, when it nominated a presidential candidate who Joe found incompatible with his Utah values. Dr. Jarvis has long been an advocate for a better, simpler, cheaper health care system based on single-payer reform.
  • I advocate for state-based single-payer health care reform because it will be better for our health, simpler to use, and cheaper to finance.
  • I support comprehensive, compassionate immigration reform becuase I believe that no one should be penalized for trying to live the American Dream.
  • I stand for integrity, equity, justice, and the rule of law - all of which are sadly lacking in our government today.
I am most passionate about health care reform and compassionate immigration.
I would like to leave my children and grandchildren with better, simpler, cheaper health care, and with a government that values integrity, equity, justice, and the rule of law once again.
Our greatest challenge is the runaway spending that comes from rising health care costs. We also need to confront immigration reform, a changing climate, and Russian agression. But our greatest challenge may be that we have elected leaders who lack ethics, morals, and values.
