Joseph Patrick Lieb (1901-1971) was a federal judge for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

Lieb received a recess appointment to the Southern District of Florida from President Dwight Eisenhower on August 13, 1955, to a seat vacated by John Warthen Holland; he was nominated on January 12, 1956, confirmed by the Senate on March 1, 1956, and received his commission on March 2nd. He served the Southern District until October 29, 1962, when he was reassigned to the Middle District. He served as chief judge of the Middle District from 1966 until his death on November 2, 1971. Lieb was succeeded in this position by William Hodges.
