Joseph M. George, Jr. is a judge for the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected on November 5, 2013 (effective January 2014) for a term ending in 2023.[1]

George, Jr. ran for election to the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas.
Primary: He received 29.2 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary on May 21, 2013. He also cross-filed as a Republican, winning that primary with 25.4% of the vote.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 5, 2013.Linda Cordaro was also on the general election ballot. Candidates ran for two open seats.[2][3][4]
2011
George was re-elected to the Fayette County Magisterial District after running unopposed in 2011. He cross-filed with the Democratic and Republican parties.[5][6]

Education
George earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Saint Vincent College in 1992. He earned his J.D. from Capital University Law School in 1995.[7]
Career
George was a judge on the Fayette County Magisterial District from 2005 to 2013.[8] Before he became a judge, George worked as an attorney in private practice. He has also previously served as an assistant district attorney.
